Cardinal Ritter Capital Campaign

The Past

In the past 15 years, Cardinal Ritter has continued its journey of providing an excellent faith-filled education on Indianapolis’ west side. During this time, Cardinal Ritter has been able to expand its facilities to meet the growing demand for this Catholic education offered.

Capital Campaign-New Wing

In 2009 the Mater Dolorosa Chapel was constructed along with a Fine Arts wing that included Art Suites, Music Room, Media Center and four classrooms.

In 2012 the athletic field was created with installation of field turf with a six lane track.

In 2017 the Cardinal Ritter High School gymnasium was renovated to include new bleachers and state of the art scoreboard.

In 2019 the weight room and Blockhouse were expanded to double the size of the previous weight room and restrooms were added.

Smaller projects such as new signage, additional security features and fencing were completed during the past 5 years as well.

The Present

Cardinal Ritter currently serves 627 students with 70% coming from the West Deanery. The diversity of the school remains a core strength of the school. Our student body is 33% Hispanic, 19% African-American, 41% Caucasian, 2% Asian and 5% other.

We are 82% Catholic and pride ourselves on our Catholic identity which is evident from the moment you enter our building.

Cardinal Ritter continues to be a beacon on the west side of Indianapolis.

The Future

As we look to the future, we know that Cardinal Ritter must sustain the momentum and address the needs for the future by providing much needed space and enhancing the safety for the students. Our campaign addresses both of these much needed areas.

Campaign Prayer

Good and gracious God, we thank You for the community, Cardinal Ritter High School. We believe that You have called us to serve in Your name to support students. We know that it is now the time to add to our foundation so that our community will continue to grow in, give witness to, and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We that You will bless our labors. Inspire each of us to realize that this sacrificial work is in Your honor. May our commitment to and support of this campaign bear much fruit both now and in the future.
