The Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising effort to help offset the school’s annual operating costs. Contributions to the Annual Fund support faculty salaries and benefits, energy and maintenance costs, as well as other projects or items that may otherwise be delayed due to budgetary constraints.
St. Michael-St. Gabriel does not receive any federal, state, or local funding or from any religious orders. Therefore, in addition to tuition income, SMSG relies on the gifts from its community of parents, grandparents, board members, alumni, alumni parents, faculty, and friends. SMSG is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit educational institution and we invite you to make a fully tax-deductible investment in our wonderful school. It is our hope that you will consider a gift to the Annual Fund and help us reach this very important goal. Thank you very much!
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does St. Michael-St. Gabriel need an annual fund?
A growing annual fund is critical to the school’s financial health. Tuition dollars do not fully support the actual cost of educating a SMSG student. Like every private or Catholic school, SMSG needs unrestricted support from its constituents to close the gap between the income we receive from tuition and the actual cost of a SMSG education, which helps us keep tuition affordable for all.
Why is my participation important?
SMSG relies on your support of the Annual Fund each year. Your gift has an immediate impact on the educational experience of the young men and women enrolled at SMSG. In addition, the participation of those closest to SMSG is an important indicator of the strength of our school to prospective families and peer schools.
Can I pledge now and make payments over time?
Yes. The SMSG Annual Fund year ends each June 30, and pledges should be fulfilled before then. You can also elect to pay in installments. Remember, to gain maximum deduction for income tax purposes, full payments must be received before December 31. All gifts to the Annual Fund are tax deductible.
